Some history & information about this site about Radio Communication

These web pages were originally started back in 1996. They were maintained for a few years and largely remained static. With the boom of the Internet, the CB radio hobby has disappeared for the most part which I personally think is thanks to the mobile phone and the Internet. All the information contained within these pages is now existant elsewhere on the net on sites such as Wikipedia and numerous other radio hobby websites. Amateur radio is however still an active hobby which I have become involved with in the last few years.

David (Roity) is my name, I've written a majority of the content. I obtained a certificate in Basic Electronics in 1996 and was active on CB Radio in the 90's since 1992 but have not really been active in much in the last decade. I'm in my early 30's & I have been working in the IT field for the past 13 years and am currently a Security and Network Administrator for a Superannuation funds manager. My friend John also helped me a bit with some of the non CB related radio communications topics.

In 2007 I finally joined the ranks of Amateur radio but am not terribly active, my callsign is VK3LDR. My government issued CB Radio callsign was VHX685.
